Studio B was asked to determine by design whether a normal suburban Catholic primary school could be accommodated on a site that the client was being offered. The site was constrained by a rocky knoll, a floodway easement through the centre of the site and a group of derelict Heritage buildings. The site was also earmarked for a future church building.
The design solution took advantage of each of these elements, both in layout and educational opportunities to propose a staged building group that was both sustainable and provided for Contemporary Personalised Learning.
